In an emergency, you can use Gin (Gordon's is best)
If the emergency involves a compass that's lost its fluid, refill it with Gin.
If the emergency involves a downed aircraft with a failed engine...

The preferred CAA engineer's logbook is called CAP 741. Be warned it is ENORMOUS! It may cost more to post than to buy. I don't think that it has any official standing on its own, but the surveyors...

Of course the Mk 26 is not a 'real' Spitfire, anyone who pretends it is aligns themselves with the types who pretend that any classic car replica is the real thing. The clue is in the word 'Replica'....
