I am trying to figure out how the thrust produced by a turbofan engine changes with altitude and speed - specifically I would like to know this for the RR Trent 556 (that are on the A340-600).

Would I be correct in assuming that % N1 and % of maximum thrust are closely related?

If yes would this be MCT or max. certified T/O thrust? (is MCT about 100% N1?)

While the thrust lever is at the climb detent, are you sure that thrust output is constant. Do you by any chance remember how the gauges (N1, EGT, EPR - not sure which one...
