Diagnostic/Zorin 75

I respectfully submit that the very length of these various threads on AF447 in itself indicates a widespread enough fear in many quarters that other high altitude UAS events on various aircraft...

DozyWannabe/Amos2

IF789/AZR/Lyman

Three A320 hull losses between 1988 and 1992, essentially because the flight crew and the aircraft were on a different "wavelength" i.e. unfamiliarity issues.

Notice any similarities between the...

BOAC

Given that he was CATOBAR trained on the BBS1 and the BBS2 for the old Ark and Eagle, I suspect the Wingman has very decided views on the AoA going to 0 and ceasing the stall alarm at less than 60...

CONF iture

An issue limited to reconnaissance flights, particularly unmanned drones these days. That is an issue going back beyond Francis Gary Powers. There will be fighter jet pilots for a long time......

As this forum is meandering far more than the main AF447 (thread 5) forum on the key issues, could we please not lose total focus? The industry is safer, and automation has played its part. The...

The problem with a cockpit executive, and many of the old timers on this thread no doubt believe that AF447 proves that we are already there (at least with some flight crews), is that there is no...
