About right. There's only a few helicopters there. Usually only a couple are in the air at any one time. I can't imagine that would be a strain on anyone's talents.

I'm finally in a financial position to undertake PPL training and as far as I can tell I can choose between Sherburn Aero Club, Hull Aero Club or Full Sutton Airfield.

You probably want a quartz watch. To get a mechanical watch you are going to need to spend at least £2k. And even then, it won't have stopwatch complication. Just buy something cheap and basic.
