One pilot deck

At this point, it seems that it would be more interesting for the industry to have a fully automated flight (no hand flight at all) and only one human supervisor very well trained in a very accurate...

@JCJEANT : Right Seat vs Left Seat ; how do you manage ?

I apologize if my last post appeared to point out a pilot error again. It is not my point.

My point is that you have two co-pilots with equal rights giving dual inputs.

If the two pilots have...

It is not A vs B but PF vs PNF

The chronology below clearly shows that the crash has nothing to do with the pitots tubes, nor the stall warning, nor the sidestick : the LS and the Capt. were fully aware of the stall and of the...

The causes are independent of the plane

IMHO The causes are :

1 The decision of the PF to climb, yet the PNF has told him the temp. was to high;
2 The decision of the PF to re take control from the PNF without annoucement and to climb...

Thank you :

Your observation is of such an importance regarding the debate with JcJeant and in France that I prefered to have you repeted it.

Pitot tubes reacted to stall rather than to ice after AP disconnected

It is my opinion that after the plane had stalled, the pitot tubes didn't reacted to ice but to the stall and to the fact that the plane was really below 60 and inclined.

Maybe the AC disconnected...

What should a PF bet on : instruments or human thinking ?

Hi Meccano

My point is statistics:

An instrument is 99.99% reliable at min
A pilot is 97% reliable at max (this is why a plane has automatic protections)

The PF on the AF447 sees:

Instruments vs the pilot ?

@meccano

I said an instrument is MORE reliable than a pilot.

It is a very very confusing question :

Let's say :

- the instrument is 99.99% reliable.
- the pilot is 97% reliable
