I don't think an hour of circuits is unusual. I was doing about an hour at a time when I was doing my solo circuits, I think I had about 10-12 hours in my log book at the time. Pretty knackering...

Getting your PPL and hour building are great fun even if you pursue Aviation no further. It's your MEIR...
