Maritime IMC rules

In IMC fixed wing fly at 1000ft, helicopters 500ft, and don't overfly any surface vessel. Inexperienced in Maritime procedures may have been a factor?

Find the island technique

Gan was the southernmost island of the Maldives, so you made sure you were north of track, then before ETA you hoped you'd pick up the islands on radar, and you'd know which way to turn!

During nav training 1964-1965

At Hullavington flew with Master pilots Trezise, Ward, Bryce, Moss, Reddell, Hunter, Waterman, Topp, and Culpin, all on Varsity and Valletta.
