Increased frequencies to European destinations is exactly what is needed in my opinion. Many cities are served only 2 times a week, that's not good enough for business travel really.

I believe BRS is only rumoured to lose its daily AF to CDG, there's still the 6x per week easyjet to CDG. Still great news for Cardiff of course.

What bugs me most about it is that they tend to call you to the (far away) gate way too early, and then you end up standing another 10-20 minutes in the gate area, with no seating available anywhere...

I don't think it's a step backwards at all. I'm sure the busses will be comfortable alright (leather seats), and anyway, who cares, it's just a 20-minute ride, and you can keep yourself busy surfing...
