ATIS print on A320 - time limit?

With an old ATIS (1hr or more); when printing the ATIS through ACARS on the a320 the message “no atis available” appears on the print out.

once the tower updates the atis, it prints fine.

I trained at Air Australia in 2008-2009. Im now a first officer with air new zealand. I think the key is that you get a good instructor and work really really hard. I can definitely recommend them....
