Since a few months we have some serious problems on the 744 with failing dimmer control units which controls the overhead panel lighting. Often it is the fuse which is blown. Has anyone experience...

I can only remember one incident that a 747-400 performed a landing with flap assymetry. It happens indeed more frequent on the simulator than in real-life.
