trim air =hot air mix manifold air =cold air...

trim air =hot air
mix manifold air =cold air =the coldest zone need
there are 3 zones .
so .for the other two zones ,add some hot air (trim air )

and how we choose between 30 and 40 is usually based on how the Vref IS .
it Vref>140 ,then 40.

two basic questions .

question one :
on FCOM,i see this a lot ."this speed give you FULL MANEUVER ABILITY or AT LEAST 45 DEGREE BANK,25 BANK AND 20 OVERSHOOT.'"

and for engine fire ,in our QRH "ENGINE FIRE OR ENGINE SEVERE DAMAGE OR SEPARATION"...
