Pitot tubes can be clogged by dust, water or ice cristals because air flows inside from their inlets to their drain holes.

I imagine a tube w/o a drain hole, fed from the aircraft by a variable...

As an SLF with engineering and IT background, I'm surprised that TCAS depends on ADR. 3D coordinates and speed derived from GPS should be reliable data to feed anticollision logic.

Under Users, if you select SYSTEM, LOCAL SERVICE or NETWORK SERVICE, I would think that everything which autostarts for these accounts will come up regadless of any user logon.

80 GB in a new laptop ?

If it's a brand new laptop I find very strange that the HD is 80 GB only if the spec says 500.
Use Windows disk management (diskmgmt.msc) and check if ther is any space unallocated, or not formated,...

PIO mode ?

One frequent cause of this symptom is disk controllers reverting from DMA to PIO mode. If PE shows a high CPU load due to Interrupts this is most likely your problem.

According to the Iomega support site, the disk needs a separate power connection via a supplied adapter. Also, eSATA is not plug & play: you have to connect/disconnect it while your PC is powered off.

Video adapter connection

Make sure your video adapter is correctly plugged to its socket on the motherboard.
Power-off, disconnect from the mains, open the box, unplug the video card and plug it back.
