Oh and one other thing....

just thought.... if you have more than one RAM module, remove 1 and try to boot. Then do the same with the other. This should effectively route out a faulty DIMM which can give the same issues where...

Hmmm. Starting to sound a little like a dry connection on the board or similar. If it is, it'll be effected by temperature & time. Try leaving the PC powered off for enough time to cool right down....
