Thank you all. That clarifies. I checked on the EASA website. There are not many EASA ATO in Africa, and I wont do 500h down there. So I'll need to do it in a EASA country.
Any good experiences...

Yes, that's one of the issues. But is it possible to get the Cessna SET Rating into a EASA License? Is there a must for a EASA syllabus or a EASA Examiner?

I'm interested in a Cessna Caravan (Cessna SET) Rating. As I hold a EASA license ("frozen ATPL") I think the easiest way is doing this in Europe. But I'm interested in doing it in South Africa...
