Point three is no longer true. BA now award silver status on completition of 50 (I think) flights a year, so as to allow economy commuters to get membership.

One tip, from someone who enjoys the upper deck - if landing at airports known for slow immigration (for example, MIA), then make damn sure you bolt down the stairs as soon as the seatbelt signs are...

Question Smoking in the cabin of commercial aircraft

I am a non-smoker, so this is purely out of curiousity!

Firstly, a lot of aircraft have facilities for smokers, such as ashtrays... but the flights are non-smoking.

Secondly, a lot of boarding...
