They do act as a reservoir for a bit of the gas, but they dont inflate like you'd expect a life jacket to do.

We used to use a bit of AVGAS on them... cleaned...

We used to use a bit of AVGAS on them... cleaned up the germs a real treat...



then the plastic dissolved.

Stopped using it after that.
