Old Spanish practices

Reading the CC thread on crew allocation, I'm aghast.

I used to work on Fleet Street - old Spanish practices, and clocking in as M Mouse. Look what happened to them.

I'm 50+ flights a year BA domestic plus half a dozen long haul each year in CW or WTP... So I am a fan.

But flew BA TATL in deeply discounted Y for the first time in years - and was hugely...

However, ops clearly not forgetting that the commuters are big revenue earners winter and summer...

That said, we clearly need a few more E-jets.

Good recovery

Impressive recovery by BACF ops tonight - found a crew, borrowed a 190 for EDI and flew us home at least an hour earlier than the expected delay.

BACF really delivering tonight... Late flight EDI to LCY on new 190 returned to gate twice with tech trouble. No BA alternatives - LGW gone, LHR on strike. But...

190 seat pitch

Flew the 190 LCY-EDI yesterday on the BA 8706 which I think was its first flight - terrific aircraft, noticeably better legroom (33in pitch?) than 170... A real step up for BACF

Best news I've had all year - with 40 roundtrips a year into City and the odd F and J longhaul, I still get better service on the LCY routes. Long may it remain so...
