Hi,
holding an ICAO TYPE II license means you have your National aviation authority license with type rating to level III.
the appelation is no longer valid but companies still refer to it for job...

exams in france are conducted by approved part147 schools only , no sitting at french dgca or alike , you can google some schools and contact them , they will provide study books and schedule...
