It seems that JC now fully funds the type rating i.e. no payment upfront required by the new hire. That's a positive change I'd say. Any other changes for the better, perhaps extra days off etc?...

Section 5 in CAP 804 refers to UK National Licences and I think the conversion of an ICAO ATPL does not fall into this category. Relevant for conversion is 'Section 4 Part Q, Subpart 2'.
