Waiting period

Somebody correct me, but if I remember right, if you are unsuccessful on an Open Day (CV stage) then the waiting period doesn't apply. If you are called after the Open Day to attend the Assessment...

New Aussie transfers

Seems like QCCUK is offering QAL crew the chance to transfer to LHR base again, with updated base pays. Any idea when (if) QCCA crew will be offered the opportunity?

I think the Qantas A380 only flies to 3 destinations, namely LHR, SIN and LAX, Australia-based crew get to do only SIN and LAX, so having 7 ports is a vast improvement for crew!

Accommodation for New Joiners

Anybody with information on where new joiners will be put up? I heard on the grapevine that EK is building a crew city, as well as many current crew moving to the TECOM building. Any news?

I wish that were possible.. "national" means the 15% of residents in the UAE who actually hold UAE citizenship. So unless you hold a UAE passport, don't even think about it! := :p

That's very sage advice, tiniviel.. a friend who works for EK told me that they are working flight attendants really hard because there are always people leaving but no new joiners are coming, a lot...

From my assessment day to the day they called me to make me the offer verbally, took 3 weeks (they made me the offer on the same day they sent me the medical forms, which took one further week).
