I doubt that. The mass of the fuselage would be the same with or without winglets. So the load on the pickle forks would not be altered by the addition of winglets or bigger wings or whatever.......

How about a pitot design change that enables them to be momentarily rotated 180 degrees and thus enable them to be self clearing? It could get rid of covers, mud-dobber nests, ice, insects.
