Possibly this...I think you need to make your own vector maps in Google Earth or scan charts & transfer them to your phone...so there's no aviation database etc.

I use a 296 with Jeppesen FliteStar to create flight plans. Excellent way to plan the best route anywhere in Australia, available in either IFR or VFR. The route can then be easily transferred into...

This sounds like a good solution. I think the trend is for more jet services into HBA...expanded services from Sydney & Melbourne as well as a new 900m cross GA runway.

Yes it's good to know we still have quality pilots...well done.

I'm thinking that a handheld ICOM & Garmin 296 should be standard in the cockpit...that's redundancy.
