In answer to your question, LVR is now owned by a company called Nelair and is based out of the old Nelspruit airfield. It was indeed damaged due to a fire at Lanseria several years ago....

I would say go for the Alpha helmet; had a Gentex for a while and found that unless you half strangled yourself with the strap the helmet did not feel comfortable especially doing vertical ref work....
