Can't talk for Italy but usually your ppl hours and theory will credit towards a microlight license, you will still have to do some type of conversion though, in Australia, it is only 5 hours flight...

Go for it. 32 is nothing. I got my cpl at 25 but didn't start flying professionally until 35. 4 years later have 3500 hours and command on regional turboprop and a blast along the way flying bush...

There are instances of 250 hour foreign pilots getting jobs lately. Perseverance is the key. Jobs will still go to local pilots but there is not a plethora of those so real world economics wins...
