Can't talk for Italy but usually your ppl hours and theory will credit towards a microlight license, you will still have to do some type of conversion though, in Australia, it is only 5 hours flight...

There are instances of 250 hour foreign pilots getting jobs lately. Perseverance is the key. Jobs will still go to local pilots but there is not a plethora of those so real world economics wins...
