Then again earning just £10,000 a year isn't exactly alot to live on and go out everynight on the "razz". Especially when alot of people have made a sacrifice to leave much higher paying jobs to move...

Studying at weekends will definately be a necessity at times whilst at the college. This won't prevent you from travelling home as long as you set yourself time aside to study when you are there.

FL30 is below the transition altitude of 3000ft amsl. The first available flight level is FL35 with a transition layer of 440ft. So FL50 would be the answer.

As I understand it you have to hold a European license, which you get by validating after the change comes into place, or you receive one after your yearly check. I may be wrong though.

I wasn't gonna say that. Honest :rolleyes:. Anyway, I'm glad it hasn't put you off next year and at least you know that you are very close to the standard so there isn't much you for you to work at....

They can be, just make sure that you are well prepared with the reading they give you. Also if you have the opportunity and you haven't already see if you can arrange a visit to a tower or area...
