Aaah Thank you for that. Over here in europe we just make do with "cloud" in octas. But if its CB or towering CU, then they do let us know.

In Canadian TAFs you guys have RMKs that seem to refer to cloud above 5000'.
E.G ST8 or SC4AC1.

I've searched on line for a decode but havn't found it yet.:confused::confused:

Any clues?

If I can Take Off from say 4000 feet of asphalt, how many feet of gravel would I need?

I believe its because of the time it takes for the signal to get to and from the UAV; Its gets critical at TO and Land
