They are also walking away from what appears to be a very strong med route operation at Cardiff where they have no / little competition.

I have heard KLM has at least 6 of their Fokkers in un-expected maintanence.

I suspect this is the reason for the number of flights they have been cancelling on their regional flights lately.

Additional Winter flights at CWL

Last time I looked, extra flights were on the following.

Thomas Cook to Canaries on A320. I think it is 3 or 4 weekly.
XL to Egypt on 737-800 weekly

I only think City Jet would be allowed to operate as an AF brand which means CDG. Interest from AF to do this route is not likely to be too high.
