Yes, the Hunter wing was 8 and 43 Squadrons, I moved there for the last few months after or Shackleton Sqn (37) disbanded, I never saw any Lightnings at Khormaksar.

Best Detachment

I was at Majunga with a 204 Sqn detachment from Ballykelly in 69 (I think). The best detachment among so many others.

Best for me Ballykelly and Kinloss, mainly because of the chance of some excellent detachments and the people, RAF and local. :ok:
