Many years ago, i did my first simulator based type rating in the LR35 sim at Wichita, we practiced single engine landings as the instructor knew that the LR35 becomes unstable in roll with an engine...

Converting a JAA Type Rating onto a FAA Licence

Can anybody give me a heads up on how to convert a Type Rating held on a JAA ATPL, onto a FAA ATP Licence, both licences current with "Heavy" types on.

Having seen a colleague with this problem, trying to fly N reg from the UK into Europe, the problem you face is that your national licence [non faa] is not valid outside its own country...

we use them for our Beech 300 recurrents every year, the FTD does the job we need, and the instructors are all current insructors in the plane:ok:
i give them a 10/10 when you consider their prices...
