You chaps should come and fly a C42 or Eurostar! I did all my training and first 200 hours on PA38 and C150 and I cant beleive why anyone would choose to fly them now (apart from licensing issues)...

Nice one Rod - the c42 will out perform a 152 in every respect and costs a fraction to operate and nicer to fly - and it has a very good heater!!

Come down to Hunsdon (just nr Harlow) we have a great club, 3 instructors and some great aeroplanes. All the students that have learnt there have got loads of flying done (as well as their lessons)...

Go past Cambridge all the time in both microlights and spamcans. Always listen out so I know whats going on and then get a FI service if required. I dont know if it was flexwings or 3 axis guys...

No I have a job that pays the bills which I love. Instructing just seemed the next logical step as I like to have some purpose to my flying. I found the course a revelation as I am always on courses...

Its good sport in a flexwing and you tend to be thrown about a lot more by thermals than Cessnas which is why there are lots of people that only fly in hot air balloon weather. You will develop trust...

Get a flight information service if poss when transiting or near an atz. I got one from both Benson and Cranfield on the way down to Sandown and both were VERY helpful. It also helps pass the boredom...
