I've been delivering networked computer systems for a very long time, and it would seem you are at danger of falling for the simple == cheap argument that defence suppliers use.

At theend of the day the MOD will be double losers

I would imagine that the MoD will sensibly elect to leave/scrap the kit as they can't afford the UOR costs from their budget.

The Treasury will then notice that they have an entry on the balance...

Twas always so.

I seem to remember that after the fire at Hullavington a call went out asking PJIs to look in their lockers and they recovered enough parachutes to allow a Coy sized jump to proceed. (That's a...

Why was that not being done at the same time the plane was being built? I've worked on commissioning large industrial plant and we had to have the SOPs, operations manuals, and all the staff trained...

Can I ask why it was not delivered to Brize Norton and put straight into service?

It would appear that all the pre-delivery testing will now start and the actual delivery date is some considerable...

Obvious question from an outsider

I note from the comments on some of the pictures that PA1 has been flying for six years. I'm a Control Engineer by trade but these days just a taxpayer so my question is fairly simple:

How can an...

I would imagine that a considerable part of the costs so far have fallen under the development column.

Who retains the IP rights to these developments? I assume it's not the MOD.
