try it! My friend is LHR base CX crew; they do have, not many, a few crew who are white and from Europe there. and many mixed caucasian crew in LHR base as well as in HKG base!

basic pay is all the same within the same category.ofcourse you always start from the beginning....
the outport allowance is i guess all category the same. paid upon your arrival in outport hotel!...
