Dont use standard trickle chargers on sealed AGM aircraft batteries (i.e. a standard automotive charger).. The ripple voltage and fixed voltage output will damage the battery... needs to be a 3 stage...

I flew in there recently on a tour with 8 other a/c. Awesome place. LOTS of sink over the trees on v.short final but otherwise great. Very relaxed people run it. Highly recommended!

Thanks chaps. Will look at those suggestions. A decent airfield slap bang in the middle/South of the low level route and near a station for easy access to Liverpool/Manchester would make a fortune!
