Oh please the drama... not watering down the fright it might have induced but... Ving (tour charter that leased IberWorld) now reports "too much fuel fed to engines which cause popping of flames".

Hi,
Are planes certified with regards to lateral acceleration? If so, what are those limits?

I assume that standard G limits that are given for design limit are for vertical acceleration only.

The limitloads (per definition in e.g. FAR part 23) relate to dynamic or static loads?

I have seen airliners being tested to ultimate design limit, but it looks like static testing.

Personally I have not used "spinning chair" technique. My CFI said though that it helped some students. If it helped in spatial orientation or nausea I didnt ask....
