LHR Tower Workload late this evening

Hi, given the issues with high crosswinds this evening, I wonder whether it would have been prudent to have a controller for each runway, not just the one.

This non-expert would be interested to read suggestions as to why the 777 at LHR today did a touch and go; OK, bad winds, but once they were on the ground with spoilers up, they took-off again.

Hum on Farnborough LARS

There seems to be a lot of hum on their transmissions on 125.25 MHz, hence voice-level is weak; does someone know who to alert?
