I bellieve this problem occurs vith every new aircraft, as most new aircrafts uses muli-layered cockpit-glasses, and LCD/TFT displays. :)

My point was that the aircraft failed at most points.
First: Stop.
Second: Safety. Only one exit was confirmed working. Out of four! That gives a rather poor rate, 75 % of all the emergency exits...

A quick search shows that airbus have sold a little more than 15 a340's.

and a340 doesnt suffer from their shoose of 4 engines at all, that was the whole point, getting away from ETOPS...
