Yes Airbus (330) docs say above 35 c in transit leave flaps at 1 for reduced overheat/ LE warnings.

So maybe a ccq issue with 380.

Guessing but...

Might be an internal IR issue.in the 330 this sometimes happens with no ECAM ... Because there is nothing you can do. It simply changes the aircraft status for autoland... Could be something else...

I think there are a few reasons to switch them off before takeoff even though they do stop airborne.

I think FOD ingestion is one ( maybe ) but probably more importantly are the gyro effects on...

Up linker ...you hit it on the head.. The ECAM is due to cross talk delays I think.

And yes, at CSA we only do manual entry, no uplink of load data.

You might note that the stab from the load sheet is not always the exactly the same as the actual one measured by the ECAM.

After fuel is in (it could be out by some LMC , a bit more gas on board...
