It didn’t seem to affect the other departures that all left within half an hour. Maybe with a full load the aircraft could not take off from a very wet runway due to SOU short runway?

The CAA cannot override a TPO. I can’t see the government getting involved either, as it is a function of the local council to impose or revoke a TPO and they are not cooperating.

Very true but it is easy for an airport like SOU to become net zero but they can’t ignore what flies into and out of their airport as that is the big polluter and not the baggage trolly.
