I don't think we can spout the foreign company thing given both REX and Virgin are foreign companies. As for QF... people are pretty fed up with them that Bonza might just fly and do well.

I'd disagree... I think Bonza have been doing a good job on social media and in the press... much much better than Rex. I reckon if you did a survey more people would be aware of Bonza than Rex.

Makes sense if you want to focus on profitability and an IPO. I doubt long haul (and the risk it brings) will return before Virgin is IPO'd and Bain exit stage left.

I think Rex's strategy will be to make as much noise as possible to hinder VAs IPO which in turn will make Bain buy them out to get the IPO across the line. Thats if Rex doesn't fail before that.

Salary costs alone were abut $86m a week(4,5bn a year) before covid - thats before you take into account the other costs...
