in the US, it's my understanding that the fam program has been discontinued since 2001 by the faa.

have not heard of any controllers going on fam flights since 2001.

majority (if not all) of the controllers interviewed in the article are washouts....those who were training failures at TRACONs and ARTCCs....and many of them are mad at NATCA claiming its the unions...
