If the IAG takeover does become a reality, will the KLM codes shares on the ORK/AMS suffer. I can't imagine IAG would want to assist KLM take potential long haul passengers away from LHR and route...

I see that Aer Lingus are using their A321 on ORK/LHR rotations for most of October. Hope this is a sign that ORK/LHR load factor is strong.

To my knowledge 6 sectors were cancelled into and out of Dublin today due crew shortages, unfortunately there isn't any quick fix coming. Shame to have aircraft, passengers ready to fly but no crew...

Yes, they offer Dublin Airport in 3.5 hours, on board toilets and free Wifi. All this for €25 return, I know loads of people who have used this service so Tom's point is spot on.

RE engine fire

Anyone got more info on the aer arann emergency evac on the ramp yesterday, heard it was an engine fire. All i saw were the fire crews around the aircraft stuck on the apron between stands 9 and 10.

EI pulling of ork/prg

With EI pulling off the ork to prg route from 02/11/08 does this mean either a new route coming online or the poss of the fourth overnighting aircraft no longer being based at ork.
