Wasn't there a similar rumour doing the rounds about 20 years ago of some Lancaster's being carefully wrapped up and buried in a quarry close to Elsham Wold airfield at the end of the war?

After much googling I'm pretty sure it's a Stinson SB-1 too, a 4 seat cabin biplane powered by a 220hp Wright J-5 Whirlwind. First flew January 1926.

BackPacker you are correct, however the aircraft is not a DR400 as it has a tailwheel.
It may be possible to hold the lift up doors on a Jodel or DR250 etc. to allow the bears out?
