Single a/p is standard for a cat 1 approach. Duel channel is used for autoland. In fact FD don't use duel channel landings at all they fly cat111 using the hud.

I can only conclude that they have a pretty strong candidate base. 11k+ on smaller boeings and not a sniff of an interview. No idea how the online test went but I think I am fairly normal....
