Back to back LAX trips with only 1 night in LA would be exhausting.

Crew are already contacting CASA in relation to these planned patterns as fatigued crew is a safety concern.

Don't worry about it. Virgin specifically inform the past employer when requesting references that they only have to give dates worked and to include a paragraph stating you are of good character.

You can just put Uni down to cover that part of your career, you don't need to tell VS that you worked for that bad employer.

Also BAA are more interested that the dates are covered for the full 5...

Best economy

Virgin Atlantic are very good in economy, their upper class blows away the competition though.

Definately apply to BA. I got in at 35 and a friend of mine is 47 and just got into BA.

They are not asking for school certificates either, life experience is more important to them.
