Methane

DFD

Forces have always had to provide capital to replace etc; so I think the mechanism is that, initially at least, it is this that is used for NPAS. This is not new money but re-routing of...

Raising of Capital

I have given this some thought, slightly tricky to explain...

Although the figures for raising of capital between SY and NPAS seem roughly the same, the 2 organisations are in completely different...

JAFO

You might be right. Its hard to decipher all the detail.

If it was assumed that the SY wasn't going to be there, then what is missing is the SY contribution to NPAS - and it is this sum...

Obviously someone has to buy or lease aircraft - on their own, in consortia or as part of NPAS.

Same rules. One less member in the club but also one less aircraft to raise capital for (or revenue...

If only one signed up - then don't you have the current situation where everyone pays for their own?

I get the impression that the issue here is that there are long term savings to be had by...

Its seem just a little too obvious that if not everyone joins then the contribution will need to be re-calculated.

BUT you have to remember that if, for instance, S Yorkshire don't join the...

You can take lessons from everything - good and bad. It seems to me that Forces are faced with some difficult choices and helicopters unfortunately are an expensive asset. While it might be...

Peace breaks out - the boil is lanced

Far from being conflictory, I think we might actually be on the same side in the we both think some form of joining up of police air support is needed. I think where we differ is that I fear that...

Life on Planet PPRrunia

Blackhead06 (now forming into Zit01)

I realise now my error, sorry about that. But here on planet Earth we have a few minor difficulties regarding finances. It is well and good talking about...

Deep Sigh

SS

Its because SY are filling gaps by redeploying existing officers that they can get away with not recruiting. Is this really the level of debate?

Foolishness

FF

Maths is obviously not your strong point, or perhaps you just need to think a little more. Manpower 'savings' would be made through putting officers back to force and not recruiting more - its...

Raining on the Parade

I don't want to dampen down the chorus of triumph.

I would hesitate to suggest that most would agree that the aspirations of NPAS - to join up etc - was a good thing, needed to face the difficult...

Que?

I am aware of the Staverton link, doesn't change much. Exit stage left for me. I won't be drawn any further into this. Sound advice, too many Tigerfish traps.

So adios amigo. But I will always...

Mr Faulty, Mr Faulty

Oh yeah, right - INAER are well placed to provide incisive thought into NPAS. At least Manuel would have been more amusing.

Yes you are WRONG, please don't twist the truth and make something out...

PAvNews

PAvNews mentions the Bilbao conference and the update of NPAS - given by a Spanish contractor - possibly a Spanish waiter named Manuel. What a definative source that is!

Oh...remember the Public Sector Cuts

Given the rash statements elsewhere in this thread it is of little surprise the NPAS team will not reply here. Apart, from being an open forum of course, where it is hard to tell between the...
