Cabin Services seem to think that the best way to motivate is to intimidate.
Just before going to work you may be asked to have a conversation with your manager....usually over something trivial....

No Merry Christmas from The Black Widow,The Fat contoller or Tarantula on the Crew Website.
Every Christmas QF usually supplies Decorations for the aircraft on Christmas Eve...none this year.

A report in todays Fin Review(P.20)suggests that a private equity company has been conducting a a due diligence appraisal of the QF operation.
Probably why the share price has jumped a little....

I have just spent a month travelling around Japan with my Japanese wife.
Spent most of the time around Osaka Kyoto and Tokyo.My mother in law has never heard of Australian.
She travels twice a year...

Cheaper on other Carriers

If you want to go to Japan for example its cheaper if you buy a ticket on JAL...they don't charge a fuel levy.
Possibly a way around this outrageous charge:
Travel on another carrier.
