JAR OPS 1005 and Appendix 1
 

If someone had cabin crew flying experience of over 25 years and had flown in airline and private flying in the past, had retired 5years ago, but now wants to return to flying how does one meet the requirments of JAR OPS. If the person wants to return to flying with a public transport operator who is obviously subject to JAR OPS, and is being asked for an attestation of initial training (which took place 25 years ago) how do they deal with the European system

It does not make sense to do a 5-6 week course covering subjects that were learnt in 25 years of flying experience.

Any ideas?
