Does Anybody Know What Does The No. After "max Shear" In Company Flt Pan At A Specified Level Mean?

The Shear Rate. expressed in kt/1000 ft. This index represents the vertical wind gradient. This is calculated at levels 2000 feet above and below the assigned flight level at the various waypoints. This may provide an indication of the likelihood of Clear Air Turbulence
