Safety Systems

What do Ppruners think are the most useful safety systems aboard an aircraft. By this I am talking about TCAS, EGPWS etc.

I think all safety systems are useful but some must be more useful than others??

Any thoughts??

That would be the crew (all of them):=

How about things to help the crew Joe???

IMHO, the best "safety system" is the organisational culture which exists in the company, this and strong SOP's will contribute greatly to the level of safety.
TCAS, GPWS etc probably fall into the category of defences - see Jim Reason's model.
