Safety Card sentence

Since this was on a safety card I will post it here.

Flew Delta Boeing 757 and Airbus A321 recently. On the back of the 757 card it had the statement ‘Final assembly of this aircraft was completed in the United States’ and on the A321 it said Germany.

Why is this important on a safety card? As SLF where the plane was assembled is the last thing I care about when it has problems.

I think the addition dates back in either 2010/2011 and it was imposed by law. Kindly don't ask why this law was necessary.

Government involved? Say no more. :)

/I stand corrected for the time of implementation.
